Web push notifications are short, one-time messages sent to a user's desktop when they have a web browser open. Visitors must opt in to receive them. Notifications slide in at the top or bottom right corner of the screen and can link directly to a website, landing page, sign up form, or shopping cart.

To set up web push notifications:

1. Click the “Web Push Notifications” tab in your account and select “Get Started.”
2. Enter your website information.
3. Upload an image or logo.
4. Copy and paste a snippet of code into your site.
5. Download setup files and add them to your website.

Visitors see an opt-in prompt from their browser. After they allow notifications, you can compose and send web push messages from AWeber. Notifications slide in on the desktop when a browser is open.

After creating a notification, click the “Send Web Push Notification” button. It will instantly deliver a direct, time-sensitive message that can link to your site, landing page, sign up form, or cart.

When visitors click Allow on the browser prompt, they’re added to your web push list in AWeber. You can tag them automatically and trigger related automations.

Notifications are sent to all opted-in subscribers. If someone is offline, they’ll receive it the next time they open a browser within the message’s expiration window.

In-browser messages appear only while someone is on your site. Web push can reach subscribers even when they’re not actively on your site, as long as their browser is open.
